Vasaka (Malabar) Leaf has a number of traditional medicinal uses in Siddha Medicine, Ayurvedic and Unani systems of medicine.

Excellent for supporting proper function of the lungs. A bitter, astringent and cooling herb, it eliminates excess pitta and kapha from the respiratory tract. Vasaka promotes healthy brochodilation and supports clear, comfortable breathing.*

Vasaka is one of the most powerful herbs used in treating asthma, bronchitis and excess mucous condition.*

The leaves of Adhatoda vasica contains phytochemicals such as alkaloids, tannins, saponins, phenolics and flavonoids. The most important is vasicine, a quinazoline alkaloid.

Suggested Dose

Take ¼ to ½ teaspoon with warm water, once or twice daily, or as directed by your health practitioner.
