Astaxanthin is a naturally-occurring carotenoid ( Fat soluble pigments ). It is found in microalgae, krill, shrimp, yeast, crayfish, lobster, trout, crab, salmon and crustaceans. It is known as a super nutrient. It has an antioxidant and anti inflammatory property.
